In loving memory of Late Shri. Shantilal Badjate
Sir Shantilal Badjate founded the Badjate Group, which deals in stocks and shares, in 1965. Ever since, the group has been growing and reaching new heights along diversified streams of business, venturing into the field of education in 2006 with the launch of Jain International School, Nagpur. The S.B. Jain Institute of Technology, Management and Research followed in 2008 and Little Jewels Kindergarten in 2010.
He was a multi-faceted personality with a dream to contribute to the field of education. Shri Shantilal Badjate was a scholar, teacher, social worker and philanthropist, all amalgamated into one. He started his professional career as a professor of Accounts in Nagpur’s G.S. College. He will always be known as one of the finest teachers the district has ever produced. He turned a dry subject like Taxation into an interesting one and left an indelible imprint on the minds of thousands of young minds who had the privilege to receive parts from his treasure of knowledge.
As an individual, he personified courage and resilience. A great patriot, he contributed immensely both in action and in kind towards the upliftment of various sections of society. It is no accident that men like him are born, to take on the mantle of responsibility on their stout shoulders not only for themselves but also for the larger benefit of the people around them in a meaningful manner. His caliber, confidence, and competence in areas of his operation all these years has been exemplary and inspiring as well.
With his ‘Midas touch’, he could convert even the most ordinary propositions into extraordinary realities. It is this disposition, which he earned by committed hard work and focused effort, which helped him attain more than desired successes in the shortest possible duration.
The saying “Extraordinary people do ordinary things in an extraordinary way, to make them look rare and exemplary” defines him, his life and his work completely.
His presence will be missed tremendously. Team S. B. Jain
