Overview
The student of final year take up various projects on practical/industrial problems in areas related to Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics & Electric Drives, and Control Systems. For providing practical exposure of modern practices in electrical engineering to students, various workshops and industrial visits are frequently organized which leads to better understanding of concepts and applications.
Skill Development Programmes, Value Added Courses and Personality Development Programmes are regular happenings in the department as skills and good communication holds the key to unlock the doors for success and steady growth. We also do encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship in our students.
The department houses fully-equipped labs with latest equipment’s where we emphasize on strong practical training that adequately supplements classroom teaching. The faculties holds distinguished academic qualifications and has a rich teaching experience with wide industry exposure. They are constantly engaged in delivering the highest quality education to the students.
From The HOD's Desk
Dear Stakeholders,
The lab facilities are being continuously upgraded over time which provides adequate opportunity for the students to learn and innovate. The department is fully equipped with all the laboratories required for the curriculum viz. High Voltage lab, Power Electronics lab,Electrical Machines lab, Linear Electric Circuit Lab, Control System lab, Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation lab, Electrical Workshop lab and Electrical Engineering lab. Internship Programs and Industrial visits are regularly organized to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and to get acquainted with the recent technologies used in the industry. For the Extracurricular activities, Departmental Forum ELAN has been established by the students. The Forum conducts various technical and cultural events regularly.
