The PES student branch chapter has been formed in Department of Electrical Engineering S. B. Jain Institute of Technology Management and Research, Nagpur on 3rd October 2017 under the guidance of Dr. Pankaj B Thote (Chapter advisor). PES SB Chapter has been awarded with high performing student branch chapter program awards in 2018, 2019 and 2020. In addition to that the PES SB Chapter received the best PES day activity award for PES chapter in 2021 from IEEE Bombay section. PES SB Chapter has organized various technical and non-technical activities including National Level Hackathon. One of the student members has received a travel grant to attend the 3rd IEEE PES student congress in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil. The benefits are same for both the types of memberships. IEEE PES S. B. Jain Student Chapter have been awarded with High Performing Student Branch Chapter Program (HPSBCP) Awards in 2018-2019 with 200 $, in 2019 with 200 $ and in 2020 with 250$.

Students Achievements under IEEE PES

A Women’s Day Conference is put on by the PES S. B. Jain Student Chapter in association with the IEEE Computer Society and the ELAN Departmental Forum. And the guest and speaker are Dr. Nikhil Deep Gupta, Dr. Pankaj Thote, Dr. Chandrakant Rathore, Mr. Tony Jagyasi, Ms. Nighar Sheikh, Ms. Nidhi Shingade, Dr. Richa Khandelwal, Mr. Chaitanya Fulpatil, Ms. Ayesha Ahmed, Mr. Amol Patil. The Women’s Day Convocation is an annual event that celebrates the achievements and contributions of women in various fields. It serves as a platform to recognize their accomplishments and empower them to continue breaking barriers and pursuing their dreams. This event brings together inspiring speakers, thought-provoking discussions, and networking opportunities to foster a sense of unity and support among women from all walks of life.

PES DAY CELEBRATION AT ORPHANAGE

On PES Day, we organized a special celebration at the orphanage to bring joy and happiness to the children. The day was filled with various activities and games that not only entertained them but also promoted teamwork and camaraderie among the children. Additionally, we arranged for a delicious meal and distributed gifts to each child, ensuring that they felt loved and cared for on this special occasion. It is organized by PES S. B. Jain Student Chapter and conducted by Piyush Tembhekar (NSS Ambassadors Lead), Yogesh Hirpurkar (PES SBC Ambassadors), Isha Shah (SB Ambassadors) and Ashutosh Singh (Womens in Engineering Ambassadors) and other volunteers are take initiative in PES Day 2023.
